Solid Rock Cruisers Christian Car Club
"Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2

![]() As a christian car club with many goals for the year 2008.
Including our SRC Cruise-in car show near the end of the month of June.
We use the proceeds from the car show to support various ministries.
The following are five of the many from last year.
VINE MAPLE PLACE of KENT WA. This ministry brings hope, help and housing to homeless single mothers and their children. They provide safe transitional housing, professional case management, trained mentors, family support teams, child advocacy, access to educational and vocational training. They also give life skills training that includes: money management, parenting skills, goal achievement, and healthy relationships. Through loving fellowship and then sharing the love of Christ these women and their children will be able to move out of their circumstances. If you would like to help them they can use your financial help or volunteering of time and skills or even donating house hold items, especially consumables, in new or excellent condition. You can reach them on the Internet at www.vinemapleplace.org. ROMANIA WOOD-STOVE MINISTRY One of our charter outreach missions through the years of the car show has been the Romania Outreach group. Over the past five years we have worked with them in a variety of ways. As a group you have been very supportive of all that they have asked us to do for them in their fund raising endeavors. Our first year was Wheels for Wheels. For those of you who were not around at that time, we raised funds and donations in order to send wheel chairs to the kids in Romania. They were trying to get around in wheel chairs that had no rubber on the rims, torn seats, and just basically worn out. It was a case of them not knowing that there was a better way out there for them to get around. With your hard work and efforts, we were able to get several companies to support the effort, including Quickie Wheelchair Company. With their assistance and your hard work, we sent seven chairs and the funds to buy several more to Romania. Over the past three years, we have raised funds to help purchase a new van, purchase materials for the churches, and most of all we were able to purchase wood stoves. Let me just say that WE made a big difference in the lives of many people, both young and old. In fact, we gave them life and that is why in 2006, we raised funds for the wood stoves again. I can tell you is that the people who received them had a new life. In Romania, only two cities have an average winter temperature above 32 degrees. Imagine not having a source of heat in your house and you can see why they make a difference. So we not only provide a way for them to have heat, but also to have a warm meal, even if all it is, is a bowl of warm soup. I ask that you keep Romania and her people in your prayers. HIGHLINE CHRISTIAN CHURCH YOUTH MEXICO MISSION TEAM of Bruien, WA. They are made up of the youth of the church, along with a number of adult chaperones. In 2006, the group of 18 youth and adults left Highline Christian Church and traveled to Southern California to attend CIY (Christ in Youth). Also, another group of 18 traveled to San Diego to meet the first team. The teams joined together and traveled to Ensenada, Mexico, for a short-term mission, returning to Seattle at the end of July. While there, the team intended to construct a home, host vacation bible school, and run a vision clinic. All of this will be done through YUGO ministries. Last year, they had their own version of extreme home makeover for a woman and her daughter. Their home went from a 6 foot x 8 foot shack to a real house. The tears flowed freely on all sides when the youth passed the keys to the house to their delighted and grateful new homeowners. These pictures show how much work goes into these houses and the difference they make. These trips changed lives on both sides of the border forever and glorify the Lord. And Solid Rock Cruisers played a part by providing an opportunity for the youth to sell coffee, breakfast goodies, and pieces of pie to raise funds to go to Mexico for this very important work. You can reach them on the Internet at www.highlinechristian.org. Solid Rock Cruisers' Christian Beliefs We believe
that Jesus Christ died for our sins. Did You Know? Everyone is
a sinner, even Christians.
Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God." That means everyone. We're human
and we make mistakes. But even so, God loves us because He
made us. What do we have to do to receive eternal life? Pray a simple prayer, telling Jesus Christ that you believe He is God's Son, that He died for you and rose again from the dead. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and become the Lord of your life. Please contact one of the club officers if you would like to find a good Bible believing church in your area, where you can grow as a Christian.
